Herbed Butter
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh chives
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme, fresh oregano or fresh rosemary
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

Instructions
In small bowl combine butter, chives, thyme, garlic and pepper. Stir until well mixed. Spoon into small bowl or crock. (Or shape into 4-inch-long log.) Cover and refrigerate.
Before serving bring butter mixture to room temperature. Serve with bread, baked potatoes, grilled beef or grilled chicken.
Yield: 1/2 cup; 8 servings
