We’re Going to the Rose Bowl!
Dairy farming is our life. It’s what we do. But, there are times when it’s ok to disconnect from it. As with any job, there are certain times of the year when it’s easier to get away than others. Winter is one of those times.
During winter, our employees are able to take vacations, spend time with their families, and just get off the farm and do their own thing. It’s also the time where we are able to get off the farm for a few days and spend time together as a family, enjoying our other passion: MSU football.
As a proud MSU alum and a former Sparty myself, our roots at MSU run deep. You can only imagine our excitement watching MSU beat out Ohio State. Within minutes of the big win, Ali and I were looking for Rose Bowl tickets, and we were fortunate to find two. So, we’re going to the Rose Bowl!
The curtains are down, everything’s buttoned up, the manure’s been hauled, feed has been stored and inventoried, and we’re ready to weather the winter storms that seem to be arriving, just before we head to sunny Pasadena! Leaving the farm takes a lot of time and preparation beforehand, and we are fortunate to have employees we can trust to care for our animals and our farm when we are gone. Among our 12 employees, we have more than 100 years of combined experience. Knowing we have them on our side makes all the difference in the world.
