State Student Ambassador
Mailey – 7th Grade; East Jordan Middle School
Mailey loves reading, social studies, cross country and basketball. In her spare time, she enjoys bike riding and being outdoors. She has enjoyed participating in Fuel Up To Play 60 in school and leading school-wide activities with her classmates. Mailey would love to someday attend Michigan State University.
Aidan – 7th grade; Anna M. Thurston Middle School
Aidan is a devoted student who loves choir, band and math. She plays the baritone and will soon be learning to play the tuba this summer. Aidan strives to be a leader in her school using Fuel Up To Play 60 as well as other groups to help her accomplish her goals.
Carlie – 8th Grade; Anna M. Thurston Middle School
Carlie loves to swim, run, and play softball with her sisters. She is a member of the swim, track, and cross country teams at her school. She is in the band and plays the clarinet. Outside of school, Carlie enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with her family. She participates in Fuel Up To Play 60 because she likes to share her ideas with her classmates.
Emily – 6th Grade; Anna M. Thurston Middle School
Emily is a hardworking student athlete. Her favorite subject in school is math, and she also enjoys basketball, softball, biking, and running. Emily would like to be a teacher when she is older. She has enjoyed being a member of Fuel Up To Play 60, as she really likes helping her school and family to become more active.
Laina – 7th Grade; Anna M. Thurston Middle School
Laina is a hardworking student who loves math and playing the clarinet. She plays basketball, softball, and volleyball. Laina would like to be a physical therapist when she gets older and has used Fuel Up To Play 60 to show her what she can do to make a difference in her community and school.
Peyton – 9th Grade; St. Charles High School
Peyton enjoys math, science and art. With those interests she hopes to study architecture one day. She is also very athletic, and participates in volleyball, basketball and softball. Peyton joined Fuel Up To Play 60 to help other students get active and make good choices.
Sydney – 12th Grade; Dryden High School
Sydney likes math, english, and traveling, and has been involved with her school’s theater program for the last 6 years. In her free time, Sydney enjoys practicing theater, attending plays, and bowling. This year, Sydney worked with her school to bring back their salad bar. Sydney would like to work in the medical field someday.
Trinity – 8th Grade; Anna M. Thurston Middle School
Trinity enjoys singing, acting, and performing. She is involved in Student Council, Fuel Up To Play 60, and many clubs at her school. When she grows up, she would like to go into Sports Medicine or Physical Therapy. She plays trumpet and is an actor who has performed in multiple plays and skits.
Wajiha – 7th Grade; Davison Elementary and Middle School
Wajiha’s favorite subject is math, but she also enjoys reading. She enjoys listening to music and spending time with her friends. Wajiha works hard to serve as a role model and mentor for younger students in her school. When she is older, Wajiha would like to work for the C.I.A. or the White House.
