Meet Our Student Ambassadors
State Ambassador
Brooke, 8th grade, Allendale Middle School, Allendale, MI
Brooke keeps very busy with a variety of activities including volunteering. She visits the local elementary school to read with younger students and to help the teachers any way she can. Brooke enjoys history, her favorite sport is volleyball, and enjoys painting. She joined the Fuel Up to Play 60 team in 6th grade to help make a difference at Allendale Middle School. The team has worked to make changes in the school’s cafeteria by helping introduce fresh and healthy food options for the students. Brooke says her favorite dairy food is yogurt!
Student Ambassadors
Aidan, 8th grade, Pierce Middle School, Waterford, MI
Aidan likes baseball and wrestling. He enjoys being active in his school and has used Fuel Up to Play 60 to get other students involved in nutrition and healthy activities. Aidan demonstrates leadership and plans to continue that role in the future. In Aidan’s spare time, he volunteers at a nursing home in his hometown.
Afnan, 6th grade, Unis Middle School, Dearborn, MI
Afnan is a very outgoing leader. She is on the Robotic team, Chess team, Safety, Instrumental and Fuel Up to Play 60 teams. She volunteers four hours a week cooking and feeding the homeless.
Brandon, 9th grade, Allendale High School, Allendale, MI
Brandon enjoys playing sports like soccer and baseball, as well as watching football, soccer, baseball, hockey, and auto racing. Brandon also enjoys working with younger kids. When he gets older, he would like to play soccer or baseball professionally or become a teacher. He has used Fuel Up to Play 60 to help expand the outdoor area at his school. Brandon was thrilled to attend his second Student Ambassador Summit this year!
Nehemiah, 7th grade, Gladstone Junior High, Gladstone, MI
Nehemiah has played soccer for eight years. He also enjoys playing the trombone, riding scooters and bikes, and would like to start playing football this upcoming school year. As an avid sports fan and athlete, Nehemiah would like to be a professional football or soccer player when he gets older. Nehemiah has been a part of Fuel Up to Play 60 for six years. He has used the FUTP60 platform to increase healthy eating and activity at his school immensely. He hopes to continue with the program until high school graduation. One day Nehemiah would love to be an NFL Player Ambassador.
