Three Ingredient Lemon Honey Ice Cream
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup honey or sugar
- Zest of half a lemon
- 1 lemon, juiced
Pour 1/2 cup of whole milk into a small saucepan. Add honey. Bring to a simmer and heat until sugar has dissolved. Add the lemon zest.
Once sugar has dissolved remove from heat add remaining cup of milk.
Pour milk mixture into a bowl, place in refrigerator and chill completely.
Once mixture is cool, add the lemon juice. Whisk briskly while adding juice to keep milk from curdling.
Add to the ice cream maker and process according to the manufacturer's directions.
Remove from ice cream maker, scrape into freezer-safe bowl and freeze for at least 2 hours.
