The Michigander Grilled Cheese Sandwich
- Naan (Indian bread), substitute Pita bread
- Edam cheese, sliced
- Sliced prosciutto
- Dried cherries
- Sliced onions
Caramelize the onions by slicing one onion and cooking with butter over medium heat, stirring until golden brown (about 20 minutes).
In a large frying pan, place a Naan and cover half with cheese, prosciutto, dried cherries, and caramelized onions. Fold over, and grill on one side, then the other, until both sides are slightly browned and the cheese is melted.
