- 2 slices bread (wheat, white, sourdough, rye, etc.)
- 2 slices cheese, good melting cheese (Munster, Cheddar, Provolone, American)
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Pre-heat a cast iron pan or skillet over medium-low heat.
Place cheese slices onto bread and butter the outside of one slice of bread.
Place buttered side of bread face down in the preheated pan. Butter top slice of bread. Turn the sandwich when the bottom has browned, approximately 2 minutes. Continue to flip to ensure even browning until cheese is fully melted. The entire cooking process should take 5-7 minutes.
Remove sandwich from pan and enjoy immediately.
