Homemade Whipped Cream
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Pour the ingredients into a large bowl and whisk vigorously using a large whisk. Whisk for approximately 4 to 5 minutes, until soft peaks form. As you whisk, the mixture will start to thicken, but you need to keep on going! When you pull the whisk out of the bowl and invert it, the peak at the top will fall gently to the side. If you don't get that peak, whisk for a little longer. Serve immediately, or store in the refrigerator for a few hours.
