Easy Pretzel Bites

These pretzel bites come together in a flash with dough that contains just two ingredients. You can use the dough for rolls and pizza dough, too.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup self-rising flour*
  • 1/2 cup yogurt, nonfat Greek
  • 1 egg
  • Course salt

Carbohydrate: 17g (6%)
Protein: 8g (16%)

Dietary Fiber: <1g (0%)

*These values are approximate. Per serving, based on a 2,000 Calorie diet.

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degree F. 2. Mix 1/2 cup self rising flour with 1/2 cup of non fat Greek yogurt.

Knead on a floured surface until, a dough forms. Roll out the dough to look like a snake and cut into 12 small, bite sized pieces.

Place pretzel bites on a cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Beat one egg and brush over the pretzel bites on the cookie sheet. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt. Bake for 20-23 minutes.

*Note: if you don’t have self-rising flour, you can make it by combining 1 cup of flour, 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder and ½ teaspoon salt. You will need ½ cup of this mixture for the recipe above; store the rest for another time.
