Detroit Piston Saddiq Bey Partners with UDIM (Milk Means More) to Promote Sports Nutrition & Dairy Efforts
(DETROIT, MI January 20, 2021) Professional basketball athlete, Saddiq Bey of the Detroit Pistons is partnering with Milk Means More as a dairy and sports nutrition spokesperson. Bey will contribute to sharing the story of dairy and will bring awareness to the nutritional aspect of dairy from a sports perspective.
Bey, who during his rookie year, led all NBA rookies in 3-point scoring and broke a long-standing Piston record for most 3-pointers made by a rookie, will have the opportunity to share with current and up-and-coming athletes how incorporating
good nutrition and dairy can help contribute to reaching new heights in their overall performance and skillset. “Everything I put in my body can affect my performance, so I make sure that I only eat and drink the things that help me be the best on the court,” said Bey. “I am excited to partner with Milk Means More to help teach people how milk can fuel their performance and take their game to the next level.”
Last September, Bey got a head start on his partnership with Milk Means More by donating and participating in a mobile pantry run by Gleaners Community Food Bank held at Cesar Chavez Academy. He personally loaded fresh gallons of nutritious milk and other pantry staples into dozens of cars. “We are very excited about this partnership with Saddiq,” said UDIM CEO Sharon Toth. “He is a great athlete whose dedication to giving back to the community, and passion about health and educating others on the nutritional benefits from dairy and other healthy foods is exactly what we stand for.”
