Grandma Longuski Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup sugar plus a half cup for later
1 cup Butter
2 eggs
2 2/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cream the sugar and butter together. Add in the eggs and vanilla. Once the wet ingredients are mixed well add in the dry ingredients and mix until it is well combined.
In a small bowl add the set aside sugar and colored sugar of your choices (Or Cinnamon and sugar). Roll the dough into small balls and roll them in sugar.
Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes until golden on the bottom.
