Michigan Berries + Dairy Three Ways
Here are three of my favorite simple ways to assemble dairy-berry meals and treats.
1. Berry and Dairy Superfood Salad
Layer baby salad greens, berries and pecans or walnuts and dress with strawberry or raspberry vinaigrette. Top with blue cheese (or gorgonzola) crumbles or chunks of sharp cheddar. Delicious!
2. Yogurt with Berries and Granola
Can I just say that whole milk Greek or Skyr style yogurt is life changing? So thick and creamy. Top plain yogurt or vanilla Greek yogurt with berries and bit of granola. Drizzle with a little Michigan honey if you like a little sweeter taste.
3. Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Berry Shortcake
Nothing says summer better than a berry and ice cream shortcake. Simply top prepared shortcake with a (big) scoop of vanilla ice cream, berries and finish it off with some real whipped cream! So simple and perfect for celebrating summer holidays!
