If you've never been on a dairy farm, you might not know it's a lot different than many people imagine! On our local Michigan dairy farms, we see cows chilling, resting, snacking, walking, receiving daily care, socializing, and chewing their cud. That's how they spend most of their day!

Don’t waste that almost-expired gallon of milk in your fridge, make yogurt instead!

How to make Greek Yogurt:
Add milk to a large pot over medium heat and stir until simmering. Use a digital thermometer to check the temperature, which should reach 180°F. Remove from heat and stir occasionally. Let the yogurt cool down to 115°F.Take a cup of milk and whisk 2-3 tablespoons of yogurt with active and live cultures. Add to the dutch oven and stir well to mix evenly. Close the lid and place your dutch oven in the (off) oven with the light on for 8-10 hours until the yogurt is set.Once the yogurt is set, strain through a cheesecloth over a colander and bowl in the fridge for 12 hours. Transfer to an airtight container and enjoy!
